Obedience To Allah
NARRATION 1
عَنْ أَبِي جَعْفَرٍ (عَلَيهِ السَّلام) قَالَ
لا تَذْهَبْ بِكُمُ الْمَذَاهِبُ فَوَ الله مَا شِيعَتُنَا إِلا مَنْ أَطَاعَ الله عَزَّ وَجَلَّ.
Imam al-Baqir(as) said:
“Do not allow (false) religions to confuse you. Of our Shi’a and true followers are only those who obey Allah, the Most Majestic, the Most Holy.”

NARRATION 2
وَأَجْمِلُوا فِي الطَّلَبِ وَلا يَحْمِلْ أَحَدَكُمْ اسْتِبْطَاءُ شَيْءٍ مِنَ الرِّزْقِ أَنْ يَطْلُبَهُ بِغَيْرِ حِلِّهِ فَإِنَّهُ لا يُدْرَكُ مَا عِنْدَ الله إِلا بِطَاعَتِهِ.
The prophet(saws) said:
Do not allow laziness to overcome you in your search to make a living, or lead you to make a living through improper means; nothing is achievable from what is with Allah except through obedience to Him.

NARRATION 3
فوالله ما شيعتنا إلا من اتقى الله وأطاعه، وما كانوا يعرفون - يا جابر - إلا بالتواضع، والتخشع، وكثرة ذكر الله، والصوم، والصلاة، والتعهد للجيران من الفقراء وأهل المسكنة والغارمين والأيتام، وصدق الحديث، وتلاوة القرآن، وكف الألسن عن الناس إلا من خير، وكانوا أمناء عشائرهم في الأشياء.
Imam al-Baqir(as) said:
By Allah, our Shi`a are only those who fear and obey Allah. They would not be recognized except by their humility, meekness, trustworthiness, frequent remembrance of Allah, fasting, praying, being good to parents; supporting the neighbours who are poor, less fortunate, in debt, and orphaned; honesty, recitation of the Quran, and holding their tongues regarding the people except in goodness.

NARRATION 4
النبي صلى الله عليه وآله قال:
قال الله تبارك وتعالى: يا ابن آدم أطعني فيما أمرتك ولا تعلمني ما يصلحك
The Prophet (MGB) said,
“God the Exalted the Sublime said, ‘O Children of Adam! Obey Me in what I order you to do, and do not teach Me what is best for you.’”
“God the Exalted the Sublime said, ‘O Children of Adam! Obey Me in what I order you to do, and do not teach Me what is best for you.’”
NARRATION 5
عن رسول الله (صلى الله عليه واله)، قال:
قال الله جل جلاله: أيما عبد أطاعني لم أكله إلى غيري، وأيما عبد عصاني وكلته إلى نفسه، ثم لم أبال في أي واد هلك
The Messenger of Allah (s). He said: Allah said:
"When a servant obeys Me, I do not assign him to one other than Me. When a servant disobeys Me, I assign him to himself, then I do not care which valley he perishes in."
