Conquering Carnal Desires (the Lustful And Worldly Desires Of The Lower Self)

NARRATION 1
Imam Jaʿfar al-Ṣādiq (a) narrated from his forefathers, from the Prophet (ṣ), who said:
"Whoever is confronted with an act of immorality or a lustful desire and refrains from it out of fear of Allah, the Mighty and Exalted, Allah will forbid the Fire for him, protect him from the Greatest Terror, and fulfill for him what He has promised in His Book: 'And for he who fears standing before his Lord are two gardens.'

As for one who is presented with the choice between this world and the Hereafter and chooses this world over the Hereafter, he will meet Allah on the Day of Resurrection with no good deed by which he may shield himself from the Fire. But whoever chooses the Hereafter over this world and abandons worldly attachment, Allah will be pleased with him and will forgive his misdeeds."
NARRATION 2
Amīr al-Muʾminīn (as):
"Allah created the angels with reason but no desires, and the animals with desires but no reason. He gave human beings both reason and desire. Thus, whoever subdues his desires through his intellect is superior to the angels, while whoever allows his desires to overpower his intellect is lower than the animals."
NARRATION 3
The Prophet(saws) said:
"Blessed is he who denounces the tempting ready desire, to earn the promised blessing he has not seen."
NARRATION 4
‘Amir al-Mu’minin, Ali ibn abu Talib (a.s) has said,
“Avoiding sin is easier than pleading for forgiveness. How many are the cases of very short period of lustful activities that cause prolonged sadness. Death disgraces the world (uncovers its worthlessness) and it has not left any happiness for the people of proper understanding.’
NARRATION 5
Imam Jafar(as) says that Allah(swt) said to Musa(as):
O Musa! I will not accept a prayer except from one who humbles himself before My greatness, attaches his heart to the fear of Me, spends a part of his day in My remembrance, avoids sleeping whilst he is upon error, and recognizes the right of My friends and My lovers.
So, Musa said: O Lord! By Your lovers and Your friends, do You mean Ibrahim, Ishaq, and Ya`qub?
So, He said: They are that, but I was referring to him for whose sake I created Adam and Hawwa’, and for whose sake I created Paradise and the Fire.
So, Musa said: Lord, who is that?
He said: Muhammad, Ahmad – I derived his name from My name, for I am the Praised (Mahmud).
So, Musa said: O Lord! Make me of his Nation. He said: You, Musa, are of his Nation if you recognize him and his status, as well as the status of his Ahl al-Bayt. Surely, his example and the example of his Ahl al-Bayt are like that of the Garden (firdaws) in Paradise – its leaves do not dry up, and its taste does not change.

More narrations will be added soon, InshaAllah.
